Things must be looking up for Knicks hoopster Carmelo Anthony and his wife LaLa, because they were reportedly seen checking out a $15 million duplex penthouse at the Chelsea Enclave, 177 Ninth Avenue. The sometimes-troubled couple was last seen touring a $29,000 a month rental at 1212 Fifth Avenue, but it seems now they’d prefer to buy.

Located on the transparent top two floors of the Chelsea Enclave, their latest real estate contender has four bedrooms, 3,452 square feet of indoor space, and 2,640 square feet of outdoor space spread across two terraces.

The third and final section of the High Line will officially open to the public today at 11 A.M., marking the final chapter of a 15-year journey to transform a once abandoned rail road track into an elevated park for the city. The new section has been christened ‘High Line at the Railyards‘ and follows the original train tracks from 30th to 34th Streets to the north and south, and from 10th to 12th Avenues east and west, exposing High Line-goers to expansive and unobstructed views of the Hudson River and New Jersey. Unlike the two sections that preceded it, the path that makes up The Railyards is far less manicured. With its organized but “wild” greenery, the design of this final leg instead asks visitors to contemplate the railway’s past and the surrounding landscape as it stands and as it will change with the introduction of Hudson Yards.

Lots of changes are in store for hockey player Scott Gomez. Not only is he currently a free agent, but he’s put his 2,062-square-foot Chelsea penthouse on the market for $23,000 a month. The three-bedroom duplex condo at the Chelsea Mercantile, 252 Seventh Avenue, is available fully furnished, and Gomez has outfitted the pad with a mix of colorful contemporary pieces and bachelor pad-esque décor.

Whoever inks the lease for this apartment will follow in the footsteps of Nick Jonas and Marc Jonas, both former renters of the unit. The building also boasts Katie Holmes as a resident.

Is Jennifer Lopez Moving Into Chelsea’s Walker Tower?

Jenny from the Block could be looking to move to Chelsea’s Walker Tower. According to the NYP, Jennifer Lopez was spotted scoping out apartments alongside celebrity broker Fredrik Eklund. The pair reportedly checked out an unlisted apartment and eyed the floor plans of several other units over lunch. The Post notes that J Lo’s budget is around $20 million. With that in mind, might we suggest the building’s $25M duplex penthouse?

You may remember Kira Plastinina making headlines back in 2008, when she, all at the age of 16, launched her namesake fashion line, opened a dozen US stores, and later that same year closed them all and filed for bankruptcy. Originally from Moscow, Kira has now launched a new high-end fashion line called Lublu in Dallas, Texas, but it looks like she might also be planning to make some moves in the Big Apple. According to city records, she purchased apartment 3A at the Slate Condominium at 163 West 18th Street for $2.45 million.
